The twin city Commissionerate police held a marathon ‘Road Run’ on Saturday in Cuttack city under the aegis of Regional Branch of Red Cross Society, to mark 10th year completion of the Commissionerate police system in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Chandra Sarathi Behera flagged off the marathon.
Apart from the 1,000 participants, police personnel led by Police Commissioner YB Khurania, many cine stars participated in the marathon from Reserve Police Ground in Buxi Bazaar to the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium.
At the outset, the Police Commissioner requested the participants to donate blood voluntarily to fulfil the deficiency of blood in the twin cities. later, the guests distributed cash awards and trophies to the winners.
