An enforcement team consisting of officers and staff of the BDA and the BMC conducted an eviction drive in the Jaydev Vihar area and
demolished a part of a two-storied commercial building illegally constructed on Plot No 2290 affecting CDP road and Drain No 4.
The BDA had initiated a case against Nrusingha Panigrahi in this case and passed a demolition order on November 16, 2006. Due to non-response, the team carried out the demolition order on Saturday.
“The eviction drive for demolition of the unauthorised construction of double-storied commercial building was carried out partly today and was postponed due to rain. The balance portion of the building will be demolished on Sunday,” said an official release.
