A couple of days after a complaint had been lodged against a schoolteacher for allegedly raping a college girl in Kuchinda of Sambalpur district, police arrested the accused teacher on Thursday.
Later, the Kuchinda police produced accused Pramod Kumar Kharsel before court.
The incident came to fore after the girl lodged a police complaint on Tuesday night alleging that Kharsel, a teacher of Bouriguda Panchayat High School lured her to a forest on July 11 to shoot a video but raped her.
A few locals had videographed the incident on mobile phone and made the video viral on social media. After the incident Kharsel was on the run.
