Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted raids on the houses and office of Bhedabahal Aided College Demonstrator Ashok Kumar Patel in connection with a disproportionate assets complaint lodged against him.
His residential building at Talasankara, his brother-in-law’s house at Sankara, both in Sundargarh Town, and his office room at Bhedabahal were simultaneously searched by the Sambalpur Division sleuths. During the search, it was found that Patel owns one Tata Nano and one Suzuki motorcycle together worth Rs 5,22,591, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 1,45,800, various bank and insurance deposits worth Rs 22,63,530 and hard cash of Rs 14,425.
Similarly, he owns one double storied building at Talasankara and one homestead plot at Chitabhanga in Sundargarh district together worth Rs 4,56,513. The value of total assets amounts to Rs 74,02,859 approximately.
