Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale inaugurated the Sewage Water Treatment Plant installed by Bharat Aluminium Company limited (BAlCO) here. The Collector also planted saplings in the BAlCO premises. Also present during the inauguration program was Regional Environment Officer R.P. Shinde.
Addressing the gathering, Kangale said that it is necessary to preserve the natural resources and environment for the coming generation.
“We must take inspiration from values of Mahatma Gandhi who had sacrificed throughout his life for the freedom of nation,” she said. Chief Operations Officer (COO), BAlCO Avinash Chand Rai informed that BAlCO is taking steps towards making the township free from plastic. Assistant Manager, BAlCO Urban Administration Department Shruti Singh gave detailed information regarding the Sewage Water Treatment Plant.
