In order to experience various operational knowhow regarding supply chain management (SCM) as a part of the management course for Indian Coast Guard sailors, 45 cadets along with course coordinator Commandant PK Mishra, visited milk processing plant at Gop run by Milk Mantra.
Impressed by Milk Mantra’s successful SCM model in food segment during last year’s visit which was considered highly productive by the trainees, Paradip unit of the maritime Para Military Force visited the plant for second time in succession.
Apprising the cadets on the management principles, operational activities, cost and milk inventory management, Milk Mantra general manager (manufacturing) Biswajeet Acharya said, “Our Ethical Milk Sourcing programme is at the core of our operations and supply chain as we all have to work together to create an eco system that propels growth. The farmers as well all those employed with Milk Mantra, directly and indirectly, are given regular training to ensure efficiency of processes.’’
