Union Coal Secretary SK Srivastava will visit the State on Tuesday to review the performance of the Mahanadi Coalfields limited (MCl) and take stock of the hurdles responsible for slow forest and other necessary clearance for various projects of the MCl.
He is also to hold discussions with MCl and State Government officials for faster clearances of projects. During his visit to the State last month, he had stated that the responsibility of the Coal India limited (CIl) has increased manifold in bridging the gap between the demand and supply of coal, especially after the coal block cancellations by the Supreme Court.
