The much-hyped programme for inauguration of drinking water projects in Sambalpur by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik from Bhubaneswar through videoconferencing on Thursday faced a major setback due to link failure.
Senior leaders of the district, including Sanbalpur BJD MlA Dr Raseswari Panigrahi, senior PHED officials, Collector Samarth Verma were present at the PHED ground at Ainthapali to listen to the CM but were disappointed.
NIC officials were ready with their devices to connect the CM to the people of the city. But when the
term of Sambalpur came, there was no link.
People strongly resented the role of the BSNl, which has been continuously failing in its duty since years in providing proper service to customers.
Interestingly, MlA Panigrah inaugurated the projects since the CM couldn’t do it from the State capital.
