Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday said he would urge the Centre to launch direct flights from Bhubaneswar to Pune in Maharashtra.
He also informed that his Government would soon set up an ‘Utkal Bhawan’ in Pune.
Patnaik said this during his visit to Pune to receive the ‘Ideal Chief Minister Aaward’.
The CM was felicitated by the Pune Utkal Samaj at a function, where he announced establishment of a State guesthouse and informed about his move for Bhubaneswar-Pune flights.
Taking to Twitter, the CM stated that he was touched by the love and affection shown by “Odia brothers and sisters” living in Pune.
Besides, Patnaik also discussed various issues with members of the Odia community and urged for their continued involvement and contributions towards development and progress of Odisha.
