Residents of Bhimpur mouza have sought Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s intervention to halt the Biju Patnaik Airport authorities’ ‘illegal’ move to construct a boundary wall on the land already earmarked for a public road.

He also stated that the authorities in consultation with the Revenue Inspector (RI) and Corporator of the Ward-52 are is trying to construct boundary wall encroaching of around 18-foot land in width from the land allocated for the public land.
Informing that the Odisha High Court on May 28 directed the authorities to resolve the issue within three months, he said, “The airport authorities’ move is purely illegal, improper and violates the BDA Master Plan in the area. It is also injustice to the residents of our area.”
He demanded that the Chief Minister should intervene in the matter to stop airport authorities form proposed ‘illegal’ boundary wall construction and demolish the gates.
