A book titled Disha that intends to create awareness in the society towards the need for elephant conservation and is written by VV Sajani Suman was released by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in his office chamber last week.
The book is all about a story where Disha, a baby elephant and the central character of the story, narrates her journey and the joys and sorrows that she shared with her parents and the herd from unsafe to the safe cover of a wildlife sanctuary.
The author was accompanied by her family members and the publisher (BK Publications).
