A Biju Minar is not a cement concrete pillar. It is the courage, dreams and memories of Bijubabu. Present Odisha is quite different from the Odisha of 1999 Super Cyclone. It is only possible for Bijubabu’s promise and blessings of Odia people, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurating the birth centenary closing ceremony of Biju Patnaik here on Sunday.
later, Patnaik also inaugurated the Biju Memorial Minar and a Yatri Niwas constructed by the Biju Memorial Trust and the Paradip Municipality.
The CM thanked the Biju Memorial Trust for organising the function at Bijubabu’s dream place. He said he was very happy for coming to his father’s dream place. The Chief Minister also inaugurated a photo exhibition on Biju Patnaik organised by the State Information and Public Relations Department.
The inaugural function was presided over by president of Biju Memorial Trust and Excise Minister Damodar Rout. Jagatsinghpur MP Kulamani Samal, Bhubaneswar MP Prasana Kumar Patsani, Jagatsinghpur district Collector Yamini Sarangi and PPT Chairman Rinkesh Roy were also present. A vote of thanks was offered by Paradip Municipality Chairman Basant Kumar Biswal.
