The Kranti Odisha on Monday sent two books, Chhabila Madhu Barnabodha and Mo Chhabi Bahi, and a slate and some pieces of chalk to CM Naveen Patnaik in his Secretariat office address and urged him to learn Odia. Activists of the organisation took out a rally from the lower PMG area to the PMG office and sent the set though post, informed Kranti Odisha vice-president Namita Pal.
The organisation alleged that the Chief Minister has disrespected the Odia language by showing no interest to learn it during his long years of rule to the State. Formation of a Ministerial Committee by him over official use of Odia demand is just an eye wash, it said.Similarly, it slammed the Chief Minister for remaining silent over the Shreemandir lords’ Brahma Parivartan fiasco.
