CM remembers disaster victims, credits public determination for revival of Yatra

Published on:

Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat remembered the pilgrims and travellers who died in the 2013 Kedarnath disaster. On completion of six years of the disaster, the CM said that the people of Uttarakhand also lost their own in the disaster apart from suffering financial damage.

However, it is due to the determination of the people that the pilgrimage has been successfully revived. Attempts are being made to lend a grand form to Kedarnath with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself reviewing the works. The State government has made proper arrangements for the Char Dham Yatra.

Considering the record number of people arriving, it appears as if pilgrims across India and abroad have faith in the assurance of safe Char Dham Yatra. Completion of the all-weather road project will make the pilgrimage more secure and convenient, added Rawat.
