The Samruddha Odisha has slammed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for filing of a Vigilance case against former DGP Prakash Mishra.
In a statement, Samruddha Odisha general secretary Prabir Mohanty said while Mishra discharged his duties in various capacities successfully, the Vigilance case against him has raised many eyebrows over impartial functioning of the State Government.
He alleged that the Chief Minister has knowingly slapped the Vigilance case on Mishra after failing to prevent his deputation to the Centre. “Why the Vigilance did not file a case against Mishra while he was in charge of the concerned department from 2009 to 2012. Further, why the Vigilance didn’t allow Mishra to place his views before filing a case against him” Mohanty wanted to know.
