Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik listened to grievances of people directly at the Chief Minister's Grievances Cell at Unit 5 for 76 days during the last 15 years.
Public Grievances and Pension Administration Minister Jogendra Behera told the Assembly on Thursday in a written reply to a question by BJP MlA Dilip Ray that the Chief Minister has not attended to any grievance directly at the cell since August 16, 2008. He had listened to grievances of people at the cell on 76 days between August 19, 2000 and August 16, 2008.
However, he informed that an Additional Secretary and a Joint Secretary have been listening to grievances since January 2014 in the CM's absence.
Replying to a related question put by member Bhagirathi Badajena, the Minister said all grievances received by the CM's Grievances Cell and the Governor's Grievances Cell in 2014 and 2015 were sent to the respective departments for action after proper scrutiny.
