Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday launched SAACAR, a portal for ‘Single Window Application Atrocity Compensation Assistance and Relief’.
He said the portal would help faster investigation and quick compensation payment in first phase to the victims in SC-ST atrocity cases within a period of 21 days.
The Home Department ACS said all the procedures since the registration of FIR including medical report, caste certificate and joint investigation report submission have been digitised completely. The compensation amount would be paid directly to the account of the victims.
