Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced Rs 453.50-crore Covid assistance for women of the Mission Shakti. Out of this, Rs 169 crore is for construction of 338 Block Mission Shakti Bhawans (Rs 50 lakh each), Rs 84.50 crore for revolving funds and Rs 200 crore for interest subvention for Mission Shakti loans. Patnaik said the Mission Shakti is a great institution of 70 lakh mothers in the State and they are indeed the real development force of the State. "You go ahead, I am with you." Patnaik said. Describing the day as a historic one, the CM said the members of the Mission Shakti have done exemplary work during the Covid pandemic. The Mission Shakti Bhawan being built would help them impart training and sell their products, etc.
