Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday sanctioned Rs 30 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds (CMRF) for treatment of three patients of Baleswar district.
The three patients, identified as Kiran Kumar Mallick, Vidyanshu Dixit of Simulia and Suraj Kumar Mallick, are suffering from a complicated muscular disease called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 10 lakh each for their treatment.
Notably, the treatment of DMD is a very expensive affair.
