Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday felicitated Indian Idol Junior season-2 winner Ananya Sritam Nanda at the State Secretariat after she reached here in the morning.
“All of us are very proud of Ananya. Many, many congratulations to her,” said Patnaik.
Ananya was given a warm reception at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here and also given a grand welcome at the DAV Public School Pokhariput where she studies.
Talking to reporters here, she said, “I love lata Mangeskar’s songs. That is what inspired me to sing. Besides, I also admire my idol Shreya Ghosal. She also started her career from a reality show. It inspires me.”
While sharing her experience about the show, she praised Bollywood diva Sonakshi Sinha, who was one of the judges of the show. Notably, Ananya had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his office on Tuesday along with her family and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
