Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday felicitated two girls, Purnima Giri and Sabita Giri, for saving many lives during the boat mishap occurred at Hukitola in Kendrapada district on January 2. Lauding their courageous efforts, Patnaik gave books, other reading materials and citations to them at the Naveen Niwas here. He said the Government would take steps for their higher studies and provide monetary awards to them. The Chief Minister discussed with them about their study, courageous act during the boat mishap and other issues. Mahakalpada MLA Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak was present.
