Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday directed the Cuttack district Collector to provide free treatment to Padma Shri awardee D Prakash Rao, who has been admitted to the SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack in a serious condition.
Patnaik, who expressed concern over Rao’s health condition, also directed the Collector to supervise his treatment.
Prakash Rao, a tea seller of Cuttack, who has received the prestigious Padma Shri award for his contributions in the field of social work, was on Tuesday admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital after he complained of chest pain while attending a programme in Angul.
