Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved a proposal to open a fire service centre at the premises of the AIIMS Bhubaneswar. The center would have ten employees, including a station officer. The State Government has created 10 posts.The CM hoped that this would help in strengthen the fire safety of national-level medical institution like AIIMS. All the prominent medical college hospitals in the State like SCB in Cuttack. MKCG in Brahmapur and VIMSAR in Burla already have the fire service centres. There are currently 338 fire service centres across the State.
