The BJP Kisan Morcha burnt the effigy of CM Naveen Patnaik at Kadua Mandi under Kamakhyanagar constituency protesting irregularities in paddy procurement.
Morcha's Lok Sabha Pravari Er Debashisha Hota led the agitating farmers who also burnt the effigies of BJD Minister Surjya Narayan Patro and local MLA and Minister Prafulla Mallick.
The Kishan Morcha will intensify its agitations throughout Kamakhyanagar Assembly constituency if the irregularities were not stopped and errant officials were not booked, threatened Hota.
Among others, Morcha State executive member Ranjan Lenka, Mandal presidents Dillip Samal, Hrudananda Mallick, Bikash Mallick, Purusottam Patra, Nirmal Mallick, Bikash Behera, Bijay Mallick, Prasant Parida, Santosh Sahoo, Kiran Pradhan, Amiya Behera, Manas Das, Chitaranjan Aich, Gyanaranjan Samal, Susant Mallick, Bishnu Mallick, Purusottam Samal, Santosh Jena and Panchu Rout were present.
