Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s claim of implementing all promises made by him five years ago is only a publicity stunt.
“The CM’s promises for pucca ghar construction, creation of jobs for youths, social security for all, irrigation, farmers’ welfare and supply of drinking water have failed during the last five years,” alleged Pradhan at a Press meet here.
He said the 3Ts are not followed in the KALIA scheme as lists of beneficiaries are yet to be published by the Government. “The Government has claimed to have provided KALIA aid to 36 lakh farmers. But there is not list in the website,” he said and wanted to know why the State Government is not sending the list of 45 lakh farmers to the Centre for inclusion in the PM-KISSAN Yojana.
Pradhan claimed that out of 20 lakh houses constructed for in the State, 17 lakh have been built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the Indira Awas Yojana. Alleging that 20 lakh landless people have not been given land pattas, he termed the ‘Jaga” scheme of the State Govt as meaningless.
Commenting on the CM’s claim of creating irrigation for 10 lakh hectares of land, Pradhan wantedd Patnaik to clarify as to why the Suktel, Uppr Kolab and Indra irrigation projects have not been completed.
He said the State Government’s claim of providing drinking water to all is false as 70 per cent of villages are still facing dearth of drinking water.
