In view of Covid-19 pandemic, the State Government has decided to start online education programme for Classes-IX and X students for free of cost.
For this, the School and Mass Education Department and the TCS inked an MoU on Friday.
The online education programme would be implemented in 214 Adarsh Vidyalayas and 101 Utkasrh Vidyalayas, informed Minister Samir Ranjan Dash. The TCS would provide education to students in the Adarsh and Utkarsh schools. The teachers of the schools would be provided training to get knowledge about different digital teaching platforms.
As per the Covid guidelines, the department has taken several initiatives to provide education to students online. While Classes-X and XII students are now being taught for three hours every day on Doordarshan, children from Classes-I to VIII are taught through the Radio Pathshala programme.
The differently-abled students are taught through the community radio programme, Radio-Surbhi, during the pandemic.
