Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra would deliver the first Madhusudan Das Memorial lecture here at the MS law College on Sunday. He would speak on “Role of lawyers in the Dispensation of Justice Delivery System”, informed the college Principal Dr Sukant K Nanda.
While Utkal University Vice-Chancellor Dr SM Patnaik would preside over the function, it would be attended by Chief Justice KS Jhaveri of Orissa High Court as guest of honour.
“Although the college is named after legendary Utkalgaurav Madhusudan Das and has been functioning for more than eight decades now, this is for the first time we are organising a memorial lecture in his name,” Nanda said, adding that the memorial lecture series will henceforth continue every year and efforts will be made to invite the CJI to deliver the lecture on different legal topics.
