The Odisha Civil Society Sangathan has extended support to the Odisha bandh call given by the Nabanirman Krushak Sangathan (NKS) on Thursday demanding price, pension and prestige for farmers. Sangathan convenor Pradip Pradhan said farmers have been pressing for fulfillment of their various demands since long but yet the State Government is turning deaf ears to their demands. He also alleged that earlier even when the farmers tried to hold demonstration in the State capital but the State Government used the police to sabotage their agitation and also prevented them to enter the city. Pradhan also urged the RTI and human right activists to participate in the agitation to be held.
