Representatives of 30 social action groups working under the banner of Odisha Jami and Khani Surakhya Abhijan on Wednesday staged a demonstration near Master Canteen Square and demanded immediate disclosure of Dr Taradatt headed Taskforce probe report on allotment of land and plot out of discretionary quota.
It also demanded a CBI probe into the allotment of land/plot allotted after 1980 by GA Department, BDA, CDA and IDCO which has been exposed by the CAG. Burning the effigies of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Revenue Minister Bijayshree Routray, BJP State unit president KV Singh Deo and many others alleged violators, the protesters demanded that the Chief Minister immediately publicise the Taskforce report first.
In a memorandum to the Chief Minister, the Abhijan demanded an impartial inquiry into the irregularities and illegalities in respect of allotment of land by GA, BDA, CDA and IDCO as per CAG report and stringent action against the violators, introduction of land Allotment Policy at the earliest, allot land to dalits, tribals and landless people within three months after conducting thorough survey in every gram panchayat.
