Nearly 10 thousand educated youths to be trained every year
With a joint initiative, the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and electronics major Samsung will set up technical schools in 10 cities, including Bhubaneswar, across the country.
The other nine cities, where such schools will be established, include Delhi, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, ludhiana, Mumbai and Varanasi.
In this context, an MoU was signed between MSME Ministry Additional Secretary Amarendra Sinha and Samsung Electronics CEO (South West Asia) BD Park in New Delhi on Monday.
The students enrolling in the schools would be imparted training on repairing and maintenance of various electronics products like mobiles, televisions, home theatres, home appliances and their other related accessories.
The schools would provide training to nearly 10 thousands educated youths every year.
The initiative would not only develop skills but also provide employment opportunity to the youths in the country, said Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra.
