The Commissionerate Police would leave for Pune to bring Sanjib Mishra to Bhubaneswar on a remand for questioning, said Commissioner of Police Dr RP Sharma.

He was arrested by the Pune police on Saturday for making a hoax call to Bhubaneswar airport officials forcing emergency landing of the Mumbai-bound GoAir flight at Nagpur.

“We have talked to Pune Commissioner of Police over the issue. A team of the Commissionerate police would visit Pune in a day or two to interrogate the hoax bomb caller, Sanjib Mishra and also to bring him on remand,” said Sharma.

The caller identifying himself as Mohapatra had called up the terminal manager of Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here on Saturday morning at around 8.45 am and said that bombs were planted on G8-243 Bhubaneswar-Mumbai GoAir flight and other flights leaving the city airport.

Following this, the GoAir flight was diverted to Nagpur and 155 passengers onboard the flight was deplaned for security check. However, no bomb or suspicious article was found on the plane.
