The Commissionerate Police on Wednesday formed a Quick Action Force Team (QAFT) consisting of 13 police officials to check organised crimes in the city. The team will work under the direct supervision of Commissioner of Police (CP) Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma.
According to official sources, the team will he headed by an ACP-rank officer along with an IIC, a Sub-Inspector, an Assistant Sub-Inspector and constables. The force will reach the crime spot immediately after being informed to avoid further untoward incident.
Now, the team is provided with two mobile numbers, 9438882266 and 9438884411 to receive complaints and, accordingly, act on them. later, the team will be provided toll-free numbers. “Anybody can seek help of the team by calling 9438882266 and 9438884411. The address of the informed will be kept secret,” said police source.
