The Commissionerate Police on Sunday arrested a person in connection with the loot from City Chandan Jewellery shop at Kharvel Nagar here. The arrest was made from outside the State, said the police.
A special squad of the Commissionerate Police is bringing the arrested person, said Kharvel Nagar IIC MK Samanta. The police have started manhunt to nab the other culprits involved in the case, he added.
Notably, miscreants had looted gold jewellery from the shop at the Master Canteen Square, 50 metre away from the Kharvel Nagar police station on June 5 night. The police had seized a bike from the spot and arrested a looter who was caught by the local people from the spot.
