A special joint squad of the BDA and BMC with help of police demolished five cabins, two extended shed of fruit shops, four hoardings, one bamboo shed, three extended shed of hotels and four thatched houses and evicted 20 street vendors from along the foot path from the New Air Port Square to Patia Square and cycle path from KIIT Square to CIPET Square. Besides, a portion of about 5 feet extended part of the laxmi Narayan Temple near the BDA Colony, which was covering cycle path in front of Rail Dadan, was demolished by Mandir Committee.
