A contractor, Dilip Kumar Nayak, commited suicide in his house at Raj Bhawan Colony in Unit-8 here on Sunday. Though the police are investigating into the incident, it was yet to be ascertained why Behera took the extreme step.
Sources said that it was due to the increased tax burden because of the implementation of the Goods and Services ( GST) on his business that he might have ended his life.
