For establishment of a Common User Domestic Cargo Terminal (CUDCT) at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) will soon carry out a feasibility study to identify and assess the cargo potential to/from the airport.
It is proposed to establish the CUDCT at the airport. and to start with the proposal, the AAI intends to carry out a feasibility study to identify and assess the cargo potential to and from the airport, said a Press release issued by the city airport authority.
A coordination meeting was held by the AAI in association with the Ipicol which was chaired by the latter’s CMD Sanjiv Chopra. AAI Regional Executive Director (Eastern Region) and Airport Director Sharad Kumar also attended the meeting.
Issues like potential, infrastructural requirements, administrative requirements and available resources were discussed at length with the representatives of the airlines and industries.
