The Biju Patnaik International Airport on Friday was conferred with ‘Kalinga Safety Award (Performance year 2013), Sector-CSR’ at the Odisha State Safety Conclave-2014 here for the excellent CSR project taken up it.
Airport Director Sharad Kumar received the award from High Commissioner of South Africa.
The Biju Patnaik International Airport here had taken-up the initiative to re-model and re-furbish Bhimpur Primary School, Bhimpur under CSR scheme as the school building had turned to shambles due to unavailability of funds.
It also had taken up the initiative of re-furbishing the half-built kitchen/mess of the school and change the old PCC flooring and replace it with tiles and repairs were done at other places.
