The State’s only theme-based amusement park, the BDA City Centre, has been reopened for visitors on the occasion of the Children’s Day on Thursday.

The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has spent about Rs 1.5 crore to renovate the amusement park, which had been battered during the Cyclone Fani on May 3.

There was a big rush of visitors and children at the amusement park as the entry fee was waived for the day. But visitors had to pay Rs 100 per head as an entry fee from Friday.

At present, visitors can enjoy merry go round, caterpillar, toy train, pirate ship, tilt a wheel, Votex, water coaster, Moonraker and boating at the BDA City Centre, said a staff of the park.
