In a bid to boost plastic engineering sector in Odisha, the State Government will set up a new centre of Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) at Koraput.
Skill Development and Technical Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh informed this at a meeting held under Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy in the presence of Secretary, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Secretary P Raghavendra Rao.
Rao is stated to have agreed to the proposal and assured of early steps for setting up the CIPET Centre at Koraput. Rao termed the Paradip Petrochemicals and Petroleum Investment Region as the best project u nder progress.
