The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in its foundation day ceremony on September 7 last conferred the first prize for social work under its NSS programme on Bapujee HS School, Garhpalasuni, in Dhenkanal district.
The institution had the honour of collecting 109 units of blood at a camp, besides successfully organising an inter-district NSS camp. Bapujee HS School Principal Bhagaban Sasmal received the prize, while Programme Officer (PO) of the college Kailash Chandra Sahani got the best PO award and student Jagannath Sahu got the best volunteer award. Among others, Higher Education Minister Pardip Panigrahy, Bhubaneswar North MlA Priyadarshi Mishra, CHSE Chairman Prof Basudev Chhatoi and Secretary Gyanranjan Mohanty were present.
