Everywhere in the western part of the State, people are celebrating the moments after Subash Chouhan was appointed as Chairman of the Western Odisha Development Council (WODC).
When he visited his birthplace Ambahal under Padampur block in Bargarh district for getting the blessing of his mother, a huge gathering including BJD workers, members of social organisations and his followers felicitated him. The people of Bargarh, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda districts are excited and observed the occasion by blasting crackers and taking out welcome rallies.
Chouhan belongs to a poor family; and since his childhood, he has accepted social service as prime goal of his life.
The people thanked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for appointing Chouhan as WODC Chairman and hoped that with Chouhan at the helm, the WODC would work more efficiently propelling development of the western region.
