Chit fund victims to hold Satyagraha at tehsils

The Arthika Sansthamanankadwara Kshatigrastanka Milita Mancha (ASKMM) on Monday decided to hold mass Satyagraha involving duped chit fund depositors in each tehsil demanding refund of deposits by seizing and selling of properties of chief fund company owners.

The ASKMM took this decision at its State-level convention held here. It alleged that the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate have slowed their investigations, causing mental pressure for the poor depositors in the State.

It demanded that Government conduct a fresh drive to identify real depositors and to refund their money by seizing and disposing of all movable and immovable properties of fraud chit fund owners and directors.

Further, alleging that the Government has deployed a fraud company for selling of chit fund owners’ properties, the Manch called upon depositors to file money suits or money claim in courts on the basis of the Supreme Court order to get money from the fund realized from seized properties.

It too decided to extend support to those depositors who can’t spend money towards stamp duty and lawyer fees in filing the money suit of money claim. Depositors can apply for this at the Manch’s head office here anytime between January 20 and February 20.

The convention presided over by convenor Jayant Das was attended by senior journalist Rabi Das, ‘Sambad’ editor Soumyaranjan Patnaik, Madhusudan Biswal, Umesh Chandra Patnaik, Anuradha Subudhi, Sanjay Mohapatraa, Bibhudatta Mishra among many others.
