To protest the State Government’s wayward probe into the multi-crore child fund scam in the State and its slipshod attitude in returning money to the affected investors, the Arthika Sansthamanankadwara Kshatigrastanka Milita Mancha, an outfit fighting for the chit fund scam victims, would hold a State-level convention at the Institute of Engineers here on May 9.

The convention involving affected investors form each block, political leaders and various activists would chalk out the next steps to be taken by the body to put pressure on the State Government for returning money to all duped investors.

In a Press statement, Manch convenor Jayant Das said, “For faulty policy of the State Government and the Centre, many fraud companies managed to dupe scores of investors of their hard-earned money. On the other hand, the State Government has not done much to generate confidence among the investors. It has ordered probe into the scam by the Crime Branch and appointed a commission of inquiry headed by acting or retired Judges besides creating `300 corpus fund just to shield its own blunders.”

The Government has no interest to identify the affected investors, arrest proprietors of the fraud companies and seize their properties and return the money to the affected investors, he added.

The Manch convenor has urged all affected investors to join the rally to make it successful.
