A band of unidentified people looted goods worth several lakhs of rupees of Green Ray International, a chit fund company, on Sunday.
They were stored in a warehouse of the company located near Jaleswar town beside NH-60. The loot items included company’s products, medicines and cosmetics etc, besides parts of car and generator which were in the complex.
The warehouse had been sealed by the police following raids on the allegation of irregularities. While some say that the articles were looted by enraged victim investors, others allege that it was done by the company itself under a conspiracy plan. However, no case was lodged with the police. Earlier, too, company articles including computer sets, tables, chairs and other furniture were looted.
