The Chilika Sahitya Samaj at its annual general body meeting held here on Sunday decided to promote poets among college students in its long-term action plan.
The body also decided to publish bilingual (Odia and English) poetry books and biographies of local poets and writers. Besides, Siva Mishra was elected as the president while Kailash Chandra Moharana as the secretary of the body.
The other members are Bijay Kumar Rana (vice-president), Balamukunda Das and Sarbeswar Sarangi (joint secretaries) and Pabitra Primanic (treasurer). The organisation also nominated writers and poets Purusotam Mohapatra, Sarat Pattanaiak, Omprakash Agarwal and Bhikari Charan Pradhan as advisors.
