A ‘Chilika Shell Duck Folk Carnival’ would held at Barkul in Chilka from December 7 to 12, informed event convenor Niranjan Dash at a Press meet here on Thursday.
He said Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Odisha Tourism Secretary Vishal Kumar Dev would attend as guests on the inaugural day of the event.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi and MLA Prashant Jagadev would grace the event later. Cultural troupes and artists from different States would perform during the programme, he added.
Among others, Suresh Mantri, Swadesh Patttnayak, PC Patnaik and Prashant Dash were present.
