Children of prisoners undergoing life-term in various jails across the State observed Holi at the Madhurmayi Shiksha Niketan here, where they have been staying on Monday.
Former State High Court Justice M Papanna attended the event, organised by the Surendra Nath Jena Trust in association with the ‘We for You’. Justice Papanna said nobody is born criminal; rather situation compels a person to commit crimes. The inmates of Madhurmayee showcased dance and song events on the occasion.
The programme, chaired by trustee Rama Jena Pradhan, was attended by Madhurmayi chairperson Nirajalaxmi Mohapatra, national level model and actor Swapna Pati and television actor Narendra Kumar Patra, among others.
