The Swami Chidananda Janma Satabarshiki Samiti here will host Swami Chidananda’s centenary birth anniversary at the Sivananda Centenary Boys’ High School near Khandagiri from January 25 to 27. Former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam is scheduled to inaugurate the function, informed Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deb at a press meet here on Saturday.
The inaugural session will be presided over by Divine life Society (DlS) Rishikesh vice-president Pujya Swami Nirliptananda Saraswati Maharaj. It will focus on Swami Sivananda’s contribution to mankind. In a Sadbhavna Samavesha, a discussion on dissemination of spiritual knowledge in modern society will be held. The second day session to be presided over by DlS Rishikesh secretary Pujya Swami Dharmanishtananda Saraswati Maharaj would focus on Swami Chidananda’s contribution to mankind. Again, in a Sadbhavna Samavesha, the speakers would highlight a topic on ‘One God, One World Family.’ The valedictory session would emphasize on DlS’s path ahead.
Nearly 5,000 delegates from various branches of the DlS, along with several eminent saints and dignitaries from various spiritual organisations, would attend the three-day programme, informed the Gajapati Maharaj.
