For the third consecutive day on Sunday, Congress students' wing members tried to sneak into the Naveen Niwas to teach Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik the language of the State.
like Friday and Saturday, the activists led by the State Congress students' wing president Itish Pradhan holding slates, chalks and other study materials marched towards the Chief Minister's house but were blocked by security personnel.
Though police had made preventive arrests of the agitators on last two days, the activists after being released from police stations resorted to agitation leaving security personnel in a tizzy.
Itish Pradhan, however, said their effort to teach the Chief Minister Odia would not be stopped despite the police restriction.
“The CM has to learn Odia and speak in Odia. Being the head of the State, it is his morality to learn the language of the soil,” said Pradhan.
Notably, BJD MP Baishnab Parida and Odisha Jan Morcha chief Pyarimohan Mohapatra are also critical of the Chief Minister for not learning Odia.
