A preparatory meeting for the 8th Chausathi Yogini Mahotsav, an annual art festival, was held under the chairmanship of Balipatana MlA Sashi Bhusan Behera here on Monday.
City-based body Nrutya Pratibha in association with the Khordha district administration will organise the festival, scheduled to be held at Hirapur under Balianta block from December 23 to 25. The meeting also had a detailed discussion on correlated events to be held during the fest.
The festival aims at highlighting and promoting the cultural significance of the ancient Chausathi Yogini temple at Hirapur, said MlA Behera, adding that efforts would be made to attract more tourists to this place. Additional Collector Abani Pattnaik was also present, among others.
